Mansas African Whisky, 750ml
Grains are mixed in a mash tun to extract fermentable sugars
Wort is separated and transferred to fermentation tanks
African strain yeast is added for fermentation
Fermentation lasts 6-8 days before moving to a stripping still
The liquid is distilled in copper pot stills and diluted to barrel strength
Ex-red wine barrels, locally sourced and heavily charred, are used for aging
Barrels are stored for 3-5 years under controlled conditions
KwaZulu-Natal's tropical climate enhances the maturation process
